Shipping: Shipping is free!  Delivery days are Wednesday or Friday.  My order shipped on Tuesday and arrived Wednesday afternoon.  The package was in great condition.  There were no leaks or issues.

Selection: There are over 15 smoothies, 30 soup and grain bowls, 10 noodle bowls, and 6 reset soups to choose from.  There are also add-on snacks, desserts and nutrient shots.  You can filter your choices with dietary needs such as low sodium or low carb.  You can also filter out ingredients such as soy, nuts, cilantro, spicy ingredients, bananas, or caffeine.

I received 5 smoothies: raspberry cacao, cacao almond, dragonfruit, chocolate cherry, and power greens, 5 soup and grain bowls: vegan meatballs, coconut curry rice bowl, vegetable Bolognese, beans and greens soup, and cauliflower tikka.  I also received 4 shots: recovery, digestion, detox, and wellness.Splendid Spoon SmoothiesSplendid Spoon smoothies and shots

What’s Included: The smoothies and meals are fully prepared and ready to eat.  What more could you ask for?  The smoothies and shots last in the fridge for a few weeks.  The soups and bowls come frozen, so I put them in the freezer, but they can also last in the fridge for a few weeks as well.Splendid Spoons Bowls

Preparation:  The meals are ready to eat as is, but here are some ways to personalize your meals and add some extras to make them more filling.

Additional Thoughts: Splendid Spoon is an easy way to get more fruits and veggies in your diet.  The price per meal is pretty mid range for meal delivery companies.  Having the smoothies available is great for high symptom days when liquid nutrition is my go to.  If the smoothies are too thick for you, try adding them to a reusable water bottle with some ice, just like Crystal Saltrelli recommends in her book Living (Well!) with Gastroparesis.

The raspberry cacao was my favorite smoothie.  The pea protein gives the smoothies a bit of an extra texture which can take some getting used to.  The mango guava, mint chip, and AB&J smoothies are next on my list of Splendid Spoon smoothies to try.

The meal bowls and soups are pretty delicious.  The vegetable Bolognese grain bowl was my absolute favorite. I never had quinoa taste so good. It’s definitely something I want to eat again.  The vegan meatballs and marinara did not disappoint.  The texture of the meatballs were really similar to non-vegan meatballs.  I was pleasantly surprised by the beans and greens soup.  The seasoning was perfect and one serving filled me up.  Beans and Greens Soup in a bowl with bread on the side

The only suggestion I have to make the bowls better would be offering more takes on classic recipes or comfort foods with less spicy ingredients.

As far as the shots go, the ginger and ginger juice in the wellness, recovery, and digestion shots were too spicy for me.  I am on a coconut water kick so I might try mixing one in with that to make it easier to drink.

Overall Review:  Splendid Spoon smoothies and meals are an easy way to eat healthy when you’re having a busy day or a high symptom day.  I like the variety of choices Splendid Spoon offers even though there are some that I cannot eat.  I would like to see new bowls and smoothies added if I were to keep a regular subscription to Splendid Spoon.  I hope you found my Splendid Spoon review informative.

Overall, I rate Splendid Spoon 3.5/5
