Overnight oats are easy to prepare the night before and even easier to eat when you wake up in the morning. Add more milk in the morning if the oats are too thick or even microwave them for a quick minute if you prefer them warm. Overnight oats are healthy and delicious.
As a side note, it is also Groundhog’s Day today. Happy Groundhog’s Day from Pennsylvania! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning which means 6 more weeks of winter. That darn groundhog. I might be starting my garden late this year if it is too cold.
Instead of complaining about winter and Groundhog’s Day, why not start celebrating another holiday a few weeks early. That’s right. You either love it or you hate it, but if you’ve got a significant other, there’s no escaping the commercialism and gift giving that is expected from you. Er, I mean, the celebration of love!If you’re like me and you prefer cats, Valentine’s Day might be your least favorite holiday. But don’t let that stop you from celebrating. This month I will be posting at least two recipes using Blind Spot Nut Butter’s Chocolate Heartbreak. I’m starting with this overnight oats recipe. Chocolate Heartbreak is a limited edition nut butter, so make sure you buy it while it’s still available!
- ½ cup oats
- ½ cup milk
- 2 Tbsp Chocolate Heartbreak nut butter
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- Mix all in a jar or container of your choice. Refrigerate overnight.
