Most of 2022 was spent trying to get my chronic illnesses in check, but it hasn’t been easy.  You may know that I have chronic migraines.  I purchased The Dizzy Cook’s migraine cookbook.  It was through reading the cookbook that I came across the migraine threshold for the first time.  It’s been a goal of mine to manage my migraines and understanding the migraine threshold has helped me create a spreadsheet to track my migraines, triggers, and relief methods.

I’ve also become a loose-leaf tea snob.  I subscribed to the Plum Deluxe Tea of the Month Club and I’ve started a collection of loose leaf tea in various flavors and types.  My favorite blend so far has been the Gratitude Blend.  It has a sweet strawberry taste and is perfect for a hot breakfast tea. Their Magic Butterfly herbal tea is really neat because it changes colors when you add lemon.  It’s best served cold.  wildflower honey simple syrup pin for Pinterest

Combining my migraine research with my love of tea, I found this article from Plum Deluxe on teas good for headaches.  I purchased the Coconut Ginger Herbal Tea since it’s also good for nausea.

Honey goes great straight into hot tea, but it doesn’t mix as well in cold teas.  Wildflower honey simple syrup can add the perfect touch to sweetening your favorite drinks hot or cold.  You can even use it on pancakes or fresh fruit for an extra bit of sweetness.  The wildflower honey I used in this recipe is from Misfits Market. You can use any type of honey in this recipe, but I love the unique flavor of raw wildflower honey and recommend you try it, too!

Wildflower honey is sweet and flavor varies depending on the flowers honeybees collect nectar from.  You can make a sweet and unique honey simple syrup for tea from wildflower honey.
