Olive Oil and Balsamic Bread Dip

This is not your typical olive oil and balsamic bread dip.  Nope, this one has a kick to it.  I stopped by Tastealotta, a shop in Lemoyne that makes flavored olive oils and infused balsamics.  I was not even looking for these two, but once the proprietor mixed them together and gave me a taste, I had to have them.  The olive oil is infused with chipotle flavor and the balsamic is jalapeno.  I guarantee you’re going to love this olive oil bread dip recipe.

The dip is a twist on the classic olive oil and balsamic bread dip that is served as an appetizer at many restaurants.  I am not going to say that you’re going to love it more than its classic counterpart, but you’re going to love it.  It’s sweet, spicy, and overall, it’s the perfect appetizer.  If you like spicy, this is the perfect way to start a meal.

Another thing you’re going to want to do is pair this dip with McGrath’s Bakehouse‘s Original bread.  It is simple and beautiful.  The crust is caramelized and the bread is chewy and flavorful.  Cut it or rip it, you cannot go wrong.  Check out those air pockets.
