My First Home Delivery From Apple Valley Creamery

Apple Valley Creamery is a family owned dairy farm about 40 minutes south of where I live.  They offer home delivery of their dairy products as well as the products of other local farms and businesses.  It is great that they offer local products that can be delivered right to my front door.

Home Delivery is Cat Approved

My first delivery was last Thursday.  From Apple Valley Creamery, I received a quart of milk, a quart of sweet tea, butter, cheddar cheese, and pepper jack cheese.  The butter is the best I have ever tasted and I highly recommend using it to make Peach Pancakes.

From Pequea Valley Farms, I received vanilla yogurt.  Pequea Valley Farm is a family run farm that uses grass fed Jersey cows to make yogurt.  They are located in Lancaster County.  Unfortunately, I think this will be my first and last time purchasing from this farm as I have found circumstantial evidence that may tie the farm to a dog breeder, something I cannot support at all.

From Anschuetz Farm, I received bacon and sweet Italian sausage.  Anschuetz Farm is located in Gettysburg, PA.  The pigs are humanely raised and butchered locally.

From Daisy Flour, I received all-purpose flour.  The great thing about this all-purpose flour is that it is not bleached, bromated, or enriched.  Check out the ingredients.  This flour may become my go-to flour for recipes.

Wheat is the only ingredient

From Triple R Farms, I received honey BBQ beef jerky.  Triple R Farms raises grass-fed cattle in York, PA.  I splurged on the beef jerky because it looked really good.  It tasted really good, too.

From Lancaster Hummus Company, I received red beet garlic hummus.  Lancaster Hummus Company is also family owned and operated and they source their ingredients from local family owned farms.  Serve this hummus with carrots or crackers.  It is really delicious.

Finally, from Blind Spot Nut Butters, I received Squirrelly Tail Nut Butter.  This company is based in Dover, PA and is a family owned and operated company that donates a portion of their profits to research retinal conditions.  Visit blindspotnutbutters.com for more information.

I am definitely looking forward to cooking and baking with all of the products I purchased.
